As is mentioned in the plot, the Elder Council controls all within the supernatural community. The eldest of each species has a seat upon the council and quite frankly, we need a council. I don't believe in canons, however three of the Elders have already been named:
- Brutus Staffire - Father of Mary Staffire, Faerie
- Nikolai Reifanlik - "Father" and creator of Aloysius Von Reifanlik, Vampire (5600 years old. Appears to be about thirty or so.)
- Odessa "Mama Odie" Marie Klein - Mother to no one, Amsterdam Witch Coven High Priestess, 72 only looks about 30 (She has cast many an anti-aging spell)
If you wish to play one of the aforementioned characters or wish to have a character on the elder council, please post a roleplaying sample here using the character you have in mind. I will then let you know via PM if you may play an Elder Council member.
Also, if you wish to be the direct progeny of an Elder Member, please speak with me first.

They were out in Hoge Veluwe… this was a sacred place. There was a natural clearing here and a ring of trees had been cared for and protected by many a coven for generations upon generations. Here there was an apple tree, a birch, a dogwood, an Elder, and Elm, a Hawthorn, a Maple, an Oak, a Pine, a Rowan, a Willow, and a Witch Hazel. Never mind that the climate and location was not proper for all of these trees. They were all healthy and huge and vigorous plants. This place was steeped in strong magics, and many green witches had put much into ensuring that all of their sacred trees flourished here. Most people could look and look and never find this place... it was hidden by subtle magics and only one who knew where it was could find it without a guide.
Mama Odie sat in the center of a circle of trees on a large rock. Around her and within the circle were several children. Children of the coven. She had always loved the children. “Hoo can tell me which tree makes th bess 'room wood?” She asked with a warm smile, “an which one is th fairy tree?”
“Oh, I know!” one of the girl’s got up off her feet and ran over giggling to the Birch tree, “This one’s for broom sticks!”
The Priestess smiled and bobed her head affectionately, “Yes chil', you be right.”
“And this one,” the only little boy in the group pointed to another of the trees, but she already knew this one would be strong in magic. “The Rowan is the fairy tree… and tree of the Goddess… we use it for protection.”
“Mmm… ver' good,” Mama Odie agreed. She only taught the most talented of the children personally. Most would learn from their parents… and even these would learn more with their parents and within the gatherings and rituals than they would from her personally… but she liked to spend time with the talented youth. It was important to set them on the proper path from a young age, and to teach them the importance of the secret.
People were irrational and fearful creatures, and while she believed that all witches should understand the rules of three and be forces of good in the world she did not deny that there were those out there with ill intentions. Keeping the secret kept them safe from those who fear all things different and would hunt them.
